Animal Control



Cliff Tucker is currently the Animal Control Officer. The ACO is responsible for all City of Cisco ordinances that pertain to animals. The ACO is also responsible for impoundment procedures, adoptions, ordinance compliance, assisting in animal cruelty cases, animal impound facility, and many other things.

This page was made to help citizens understand some of the ordinances that deal with animals inside the city. Below you will find some useful information including a link to view pictures of animals that are currently impounded. If you would like to E-Mail the ACO you can do that here.
Cisco Animal Control

Some things you need to know:

1. The City of Cisco does not pick up cats.

 

6. All animals are required to have current rabies and vaccinations.

2. Due to space limitations, animals are euthanized on the 4th day after impoundment

 

 

3. The ACO may adopt out certain animals.

 

 

4. The ACO does not adopt out "pit bulls" or any variation thereof.

 

 

5. The ACO does have a limited number traps that can be placed at a residence or business, if not currently in use. (see fee scale below)

Fee Scale:
All fees are per animal. All fees must be paid in advance before your animal will be released.
A citation for violating city ordinances may also be issued in addition to the fees.

Animal Impound (per animal) $25.00
Storage per day (after the first day) $10.00
Voluntarily giving animal to City $10.00
Trap deposit (will be returned upon trap being returned) $40.00
Disposal of trapped animal $10.00
